The darkest of Tom Ford’s Jardin Noir series, Café Noir uses its coffee note subtly, providing depth and even an animalic warmth to the usually ladylike rose. The luscious, indolic, civet-like richness of coffee accompanies the elegant rose note like a devil on an angel’s shoulder, adding darkness and danger, amplified by notes of woods and patchouli. Saffron — a classic, comforting, Middle Eastern pairing with rose — makes Café Noir even more velvety and sumptuous. Although a glimmer of proper rose’s facets peek through in the dry down — a little soap here, a little lipstick there — mostly, this disheveled flower is fixing her (or his) mussed up hair after a little romp.
Saffron, black pepper and may rose; middle notes are turkish rose, bulgarian rose and coffee; base notes are incense, amber, sandalwood and patchouli
The sexyness of a cool and delicate rose.
I like the 'Scent Split'~~
I grew excited about a Rose collection by Tom Ford and I had no way to test it locally so I got this sample and I was disappointed. I love TF Black Orchid, Bitter Peach and Lost Cherry but I don't like this at all.
Very extravagant! Gives you a subtle coffee and coco type of feel. Great for the winter. I love it it’s professional but has a bit of sexiness to it .
I think I found my new signature scent. I’m absolutely in love with this fragrance! I wore it out and people stopped and asked me what I was wearing.
I didn’t love it and I don’t reach for it often but it’s not a bad fragrance.
