Andalusian Soul by The Merchant of Venice is a Amber Floral fragrance for Women & Men

Andalusian Soul is inspired by the Muda di Barbaria.
The Muda di Barbaria coasted from Venice to Tripoli, Gerba and Tunis. From here it headed to Malaga and then along the Spanish coast to Valencia and Tortosa. From this route, Venetian merchants imported valuable raw materials such as Rosemary, Savory, Cistus Labdanum and the typical liqueurs of the Andalusian tradition.

Lovely Vanilla

I first heard about this perfume from influencer, Demi Rawling. She kept raving about it in few of her videos so I thought I'd get a decant from Scent Split to try. When I first tried it, I was not impressed. I thought it was pleasant but nothing special. It smells like sticky vanilla caramel, gourmand and sweet. I only did a spray on one wrist since usually this kind of scent is headache inducing for me. But I was wrong. The dry down was so lovely that I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist throughout the day. And it lasted me a a good 8 hours. It's amazingly comfy and cozy, perfect scent for the colder weather. Now I'm thinking of getting a full bottle.

Beautiful

Such a well blended vanilla, not complicated, just perfect - would liken it to the ooooold school vanilla lace from Victoria Secret.

memorable fragrance

Andalusian Soul is a bodied vanilla, the main accords are seamlessly blended yet distinguishable enough to experience each note individually.

Great Vanilla scent

I usually don’t like vanilla scents, but I tried this after I watched Demi Rawling’s video on her favorite vanilla perfumes. She did not steer me wrong-this smells wonderful as it has musky and gourmand notes. I do like it very much!

Pretty musky vanilla

Pretty clean and musky vanilla. Simple and similar to Obvious parfums un vanille.

Pretty good

I struggle with a lot of vanilla-centric scents, although there are plenty of exceptions. I'd hoped this one would win me over, but I find it has the type of vanilla note that doesn't quite do it for me. HOWEVER, my personal tastes aside, it's worth trying if you like vanilla. The rum is a nice touch. Not excessively boozy. There are enough faucets to it, that different noses will pick up supporting roles very differently. I had no issues with longevity -- which is decent.
