    Unpleasant All Around

    I so wanted to love this scent, since being Singaporean, gula Melaka is a flavour that's near and dear to my heart. I also liked the idea of supporting a boutique Malaysian perfumery. But this sent was unpleasant throughout: all the way from its top notes, through the heart and base notes. It was not a photorealistic roasted chestnut scent at all - though the ash and incense smells linger. What a disappointment.
