Cozy Vanilla

This is a beautiful scent! Love it!

I have been looking for the perfect vanilla perfume. I think perhaps I found it.

The opening is soft and cozy like a cashmere sweater. Cashmere isn’t a listed note but that’s how it hits my nose. Incredibly soft and no excessive alcohol that I had to wait for while it evaporated. As it heads into middle/heart notes I get a tiny bit of the whipped cream and maybe a hint of almond. It’s super soft though. White Woods is listed as a middle note. I’m thinking that’s what creates the cashmere essence to my nose. I’m not typically a fan of White Woods notes or wood notes in general. This is blended so well that the note doesn’t make the back of my throat itch like it almost always does.

About an hour in and dry-down is beautiful. It’s a fluffy, cashmere vanilla where everything is blended so well that you don’t end up with a scent sitting on your skin that’s a “perfume with a hint of vanilla”, nor do you end up with a fragrance that is “edible or overly gourmand.” It’s the perfect balance between the two. I have Tihota and love it for the pure unadulterated vanilla. But this? Cozy Vanilla is exactly that. It’s a cozy, comforting vanilla that elevates the fragrance experience for vanilla lovers where they get the best of both worlds.

Longevity was ok-to-good at about 4 hours. That’s my skin though, and I wasn’t well hydrated (it absolutely makes a difference to longevity) and silage is maybe 2’-3’ for two hours and arms length after that. I can still smell this on the blouse I was wearing when I wore it to work yesterday. This is likely very work safe. It’s not a beast-mode perfume. You’re not likely to choke-out anyone with this unless you are a serious over-sprayer. Please don’t overspray! You’ll blow through it too fast, and I think you’ll want it around for a while!

You don’t need to layer this with anything because it’s stunning on its own. But … I played with it and layered it with a few creamy fruity frags (Fizzy Sorbet from Jousette Parfums, and Sand & Fog’s Peach Bellini perfume oil); it amped them up to another level. But in all honesty this is beautiful enough on its own! Perestish is a newer niche house out of Switzerland, and based on my experience with Cozy Vanila, I’m ordering samples of their two other fragrances; Cherry on Top, and Mirra.

In a way I want to gatekeep this, but it’s too pretty to be selfish.
