Rêve d'Ossian

Its sunlight filtering through stained glass windows, illuminating streaks of frankincense smoke twirling among the rafters. Many incense fragrances are heavy, but the aldehydes keep it light and airy and some clean baking spices (I get dried ground ginger) lift it up and adds a bit of zip. Great longevity on me, still get wafts after a full workday.

Reve d'Ossian is a beautiful, complex incense scent that I can only imagine myself wearing in colder weather, The notes are cool and resinous. I actually love layering this with Ani by Nishane, which is a perfect compliment and mellows the singular incense note in Reve down a bit.

I was intrigued by the perfume's inspiration of a Celtic forest and had to try it. The fragrance is lovely! On me the prominent note is frankincense and a touch of pine and cinnamon, which makes for a scent that is sweet, woodsy, and slightly resinous like tree sap. It feels cozy and warm, like the inside of a cabin, or a walk in the woods during golden hour. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars for me was that it's very light and had no staying power. Every time I've worn it, I can barely smell it after an hour. Another reviewer said it lingers, so I'm unsure if it has to do with my own skin chemistry, or if perhaps I get nose blind to it quickly.

This scent was mentioned in a book. I searched for this scent and I fell in love with it. So well balanced and lingers. If you like floral perfume try this one.
