1740 Marquis De Sade

Great scent...if you like patchouli, leather, immortelle and some resins and woods. As with all fragrances, try before you buy.

It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not something I would wear. Honestly, I was expecting it to smell vile because of it being named after de Sade.

The Immortelle lingers in the background like a drunk voyeur blowing cigar smoke rings at sex party, where bergamot has a dirty threesome with the patchouli and cardamom on a leather tufted sofa. You can’t look away from this experience!

It starts off kinda nice and incense driven and then slowly develops into what I would think evil smells like. Have fun.

This fragrance starts off as a warm, buttery leather with animatic facets and maybe a touch of saltiness. Compelling and pushed right to the edge without getting too sweaty or overripe. For me, it’s intoxicating….
Then as it dries down, it completely transforms into a slightly sweet and comforting vanilla scent. How it does this complete 180 is beyond my comprehension. Some sort of wizardry by the perfumer. 1740 is possibly my favorite fragrance.

I love this. It's musky & masculine, and I get compliments from ladies almost every time I wear it.

Excellent spicy leather scent, if you're into that

Leather boozy and vanilla so unique and interesting
Great fragrance for fall or winter 8hr and good projection
