L'Eau d'Hiver is a fragrant sketch of winter, created by Jean-Claude Ellena. The fragrance was created in 2003.
White heliotrope which besides soft floral, possesses a mild citrusy note, interlaces with notes of water, with balmy powder of iris and a drop of honey.
A beautiful soft and fluffy fragrance.
This is a beautiful clean scent that reminds me of winter. It lasted all day on me.
This is the most in love I have been with a fragrance in over a decade. After receiving this sample I immediately purchased a full bottle. Not like anything else I own.
I'm always searching for scents that puzzle my nose. Fragrances that stand out from the pack and make you revisit them time and time again. Frederic Malle's L'eau D'hiver does just that. Although the description lists lots of florals like iris, jasmine, and heliotrope, it's far from a floral-heavy scent. It goes much deeper than that. There's a dense dark green muskiness that dominates and resembles something of a fig perfume. Wrapped around all of this is the smell of an expensive lipstick you might have smelled on your grandmother. It's a well-rounded perfume that goes on forever. L'Eau d'Hiver would be the perfect scent for a mature woman who's young at heart and can appreciate the edgier, more artistic side of life. Linda Fargo would probably wear this.
