I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! I have seriously been looking for a perfume that smells like this for a really long time and I'm beyond happy I finally found it! If you've ever been to catholic mass when they burn the incense in the silver goblet looking thing it smells EXACTLY like that. I've always loved that smell and Lavs really took me back.

On the first wear the overpowering medicinal, bitter myrrh was jarring, but this scent grew on me. It is a bone-dry, austere, bitter incense. Frigid, sweet-sour resin along with the myrrh creates a slightly metallic/blood/animalistic amber heart surrounded by black pepper, dried jasmine, wisps of cold smoke. Dries down to a mysterious, dark skin scent. Longevity is strong. Projection remains fairly personal.

First several wears were just around the house. When I wore it out, I surprisingly got complimented by people at a personal distance (1-2ft). This is an incredibly artistic and potentially challenging fragrance. There is a pronounced “cleanliness” to the myrrh that can be off-putting, or seen as soapy/chemical. Despite the gravitas and austerity of this fragrance, I cannot help but wear it almost every day. Solemn, purifying, elegant, severe.

Lavs

This is just a gorgeous scent. It definitely leans into the incense but if that’s your thing, it suits everyone and people will ask what that amazing smell is. High sillage, long-wearing. The Unum collection is really unique but still remarkably wearable.

Stunning incense scent. A true masterpiece and worth every penny. This is another work of fragrance art. Anyone interested in incense needs to at least try LAVS. You will be enormously and permanently gratified.

Lavs is the purest, most tranquil frankincense perfume available. Look no further, this is it.

I still am finding words for how captivated I am by this scent. I look forward to getting a full size bottle. The way the notes evolve after wearing for a few hours is a ritual on its own. To say I love it would wrong like I might be in love with LAVS. Which is a first and a scent for me.
