Our Amouage Ubar samples and decants are rebottled by Scent Split from genuine fragrance bottles. Scent Split is a wholly independent entity not affiliated, connected, or associated with Amouage.
Original bottle not included with purchase. Scent Split rebottles the genuine fragrance into smaller bottles.
Ubar, named after a long lost Arabian city uncovered by archeologists in 1992, is a bright, uplifting floral fragrance with a warm and passionate heart. Ubar opens with tingling lemon and lily of the valley that is freshened first by rose, then rendered languorous by a sultry dose of jasmine. As the fragrance settles, creamy vanilla and sandalwood infuse the scent, emphasizing that Ubar is made for a woman, not a girl. As with all the Amouage fragrances, its craftsmanship is exquisite and its ingredients are topnotch. Ubar would be marvelous on an August night, but it is fresh enough for day, too. We'd reach for Ubar any summer day--or any day we wish it were summer.
Bergamot, lemon, lily of the valley, damascene rose, jasmine, civet, vanilla
(Wow, I just wrote my review and read the previous reviewer's comment and it's so similar!) This smells different than the Ubar sample I received directly from Amouage, however, I got my sample before Ubar was re-released, so it may have been an older formulation than the one I got from Scent Split. I prefer the "older" one but I love this one, too. I plan to purchase a full bottle when it hits the "grey market".
In regards to the scent itself, it has a nostalgic, somewhat retro feel to it and does reflect the notes as listed.
I am not sure what it is but your Ubar that I received from Scent Split did not smell quite the same or lasted as long as long as the sample that I received from Amouage. I still love the scent but it is different.
