Interlude Man by Amouage is an Amber Woody fragrance for men.
The true emblem of power and overwhelm. A perfume inspired by disorder and chaos that pretends an interlude moment of harmony in the core. Opens with a frenzy of black peppercorns and oregano which are highly infused by the astringent power of incense and opoponax resin; the main characters that impact even the leather, oud wood, and the smoldering resinous amber accord.

I can definitely see what the hype is about, very unique and powerful, smoky, balsamic resinous with that weird oregano note. Amouage's signature is one that is obviously very middle eastern. Top notch perfumery, just not what I would wear personally.
Honestly I didn't like this scent at first very intense on paper but on skin 45/hr later very nice.
This one is ok. The scent is initially reminiscent of Nag Champa incense, it's not overpoweringly smoky but still smoky. The smoke turns from incense to bonfire during the drydown. It doesn't have high projection, it's a skin scent after an hour or two. Aside from the smoke, it's mostly floral with a hint of vanilla and maybe some dry leather. I didn't dislike it, but it's not for me.
