Mossy Glen

This smells like walking into a flower shop and opening one of the refrigerator door and you get this COLD AIRY BLAST of wet stems, water, leaves, and petals. It's crisp, verdant, and beautiful. Lasts ALL DAY too. Crazy for this type of scent. I feel bad for the person who says it went rancid on their skin....I spray on my clothes anyway so I can have a personal scent bubble.

Do you remember your first junior high or high school..let's get dressed up and go to a dance experience? And remember bringing up the wrist corsage to your nose for a whiff? That's exactly what Mossy Glen is reminiscent of... that fresh green and carnation note. I find it very pleasant and if you're not into green notes, then this isn't for you. But if you are into green notes and you want to relieve a good part of being in junior high, lol, then this one's for you!

i used to think it was kind of funny when people would wax poetic in perfume reviews and now here i am about to tell you this perfume smells like walking through a shady forest on a cool spring day collecting the year's first wildflowers from patches of sunlight. because it smells like that.

I ordered nine samples from this house because the concepts sounded beautiful and I wanted to explore their range. Unfortunately every single one of them behaved almost identically on my skin. The notes listed on the bottles may vary but the perfumes all opened with the same harsh synthetic citrus and sharp sweetness. On my skin this immediately collapsed into a 1970s drugstore horror show.

None of the top notes were pleasant and the dry down never improved. Each scent settled into the same aldehydic base formula which read as plastic, powder, metallic citrus and something oddly sour. If you are sensitive to aldehydes or bright synthetic fruit notes you may have a similar reaction because my skin amplified those ingredients in the worst way.

After testing nine different options from the line it became clear that the brand uses a consistent chassis and my body chemistry does not agree with it at all. This is no shade to the house, but a big caution to anyone with similar sensitivities.

If you decide to explore this brand I strongly suggest ordering only one or two samples first. If the base formula works on your skin you will know right away. If it does not, the entire collection will likely behave the same and you will avoid ending up with nine unwearable vials the way I did.

Fig and flower and spicy woods. Fell in love with Mossy Glen immediately; I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist. It has been likened to a flower shop cooler - stems and blooms. I get nature walk - cedar trees, damp forest beds, and a soft floral breeze.

Highly enjoyed the herbaceous initial notes dry down was a little more dated and sharply powdery on me.
