Velvet Coco

Velvet Coco looked like it was going to be everything I love. Butterscotch, cappuccino, cocoa, myrrh, and vanilla? Sign me up. The reviews had me convinced this would be a rich, creamy gourmand.

Instead, I got a very linear, overly sweet coconut scent that reminded me of a cheap candle from TJ Maxx. Not creamy, not decadent, not velvety. Just flat and synthetic. I kept waiting for the cocoa or cappuccino to show up, but they never really did on my skin.

This was one of the rare fragrances I wanted to wash off almost immediately. Thankfully, Scent Split let me experience it before committing to a full bottle. This one was a complete miss for me.

I love this scent. It definitely gives off a playdoh vibe but I personally don’t mind that. It’s slightly dry but the sweetness helps balance it out. I’m always on the lookout for coconut scents and this one is great. It’s easy to wear IMO and leans more toward a creamy, milky coconut rather than sunscreen.

I love the scent, it’s very light and airy but also sweet and nutty. It doesn’t last very long though.

Bought 1mL dabber sample of velvet Coco. It's Cleaner and less gourmand than I expected. The coconut is there. Vanilla didn't come through much for me. The magnolia stayed evident throughout. Felt like it could be cousins with Creed love in white and Le Monde Gourmand Lait De Coco. Moderate longevity. Family had to get right next to me before they could smell it (at 2 dabs, 1 to each wrist). Pleasant fragrance start to finish; but not what I'm looking for.
Appreciate Scentsplit for being able to give it a try at low cost.

But if you’re looking for an expensive sunscreen smell - this is what I would recommend. It is coconut and creamy. Would be very nice for summer, for vacation.

Wasn’t for me, personally - which is why I didn’t give full 5 stars. It is nice tho!
