Slightly sweet woody scent but doesn't last

I love the sandalwood cedar scent, and it has a sweetness that lingers. But the scent itself took more than normal for me to smell on my skin, and I couldn't smell it on my skin after 1 hour. It lingered on my clothes though. After watching/reading reviews, it sounds like this is a common experience. I would buy the full bottle if it lasted longer but not worth $200 for 1 hour of fragrance.

Such a delight. I will always want to reorder this from time to time. Probably in my top five favorites.

Smooth

In league with Vetiver Extraordinaire but with better performance. Beautiful, elegant, understated depth and versatility. White musk, cedar, soft woods style.

Mesmerizing scent

I love this fragrance so much. It’s fresh, sweet and settles really nicely into the skin. This is 100% a unisex fragrance and can be worn in any season.

EDP vs EDT

I think it's interesting that so many people prefer the EDP to the EDT. I think the EDT is softer, warmer, and creamier than the EDP, and perhaps even more throw. The EDP is much greener, which isn't a bad thing, it just detracts from the coziness that drew me to Tam Dao EDT. Since I now have affordable samples of both courtesy of Scent Split, I've begun layering them. I'm so sprung on Tam Dao I even wear it to bed. I plan to buy a big EDT bottle from Diptyque and continue buying EDP decants from Scent Split to support my new dirty sandalwood habit.
