🍵Tea Service by Chasing Scents~🫖
Well, this is out of my comfort zone! I somehow ordered a sample of this by accident thinking it was Rain Tea from the same brand. At $7 for a milliliter from Scent Split, I'm pretty frustrated with myself, but I vow to set my disappointment aside in order to give a fair review!
Sandy Wong did a beautiful job crafting a natural and photorealistic tea scent. The opening is a perfectly executed Oolong tea wafting from it's kettle. Beside it sits a bowl of perfectly ripened peaches, still warm from the summer sun. The scent of peach in this perfume is so expertly done, that you can almost taste the flesh dripping on your tongue! You take a sip from your teacup, and the delicate aroma of toasted jasmine flowers warms the back of your throat. This tea is served with a handful of goji berries, providing a resiny bitterness. And like others have said, there is a sour honeyed note throughout. I wonder if it's coming from the osmanthus combining with the fruits.. While not unpleasant by any means, it is definitely present. I think that aspect of this perfume could very well be overwhelming--borderline screechy--for some, so be warned!
A far cry from synthetic, Tea Service leans medicinal. This is not a trendy "boba shop smell" or "matcha latte", as some reviews have described.. If I had to assign a location to this perfume, I would be more inclined to liken it to Vital Tea House in Chinatown, SF.
I was nervous to try this one, because fruits often wear sour on skin. But I was pleasantly surprised with what a fresh and delicate peach note Tea Service has! I found all of the notes listed are present and enjoyable. It may not be to my personal taste, but the quality is undeniable. I would recommend that if you like tea perfumes, you should give this a try. The scent is strong, but fades within 5 hours. Overall, Sandy Wong made Tea Service a treat for the senses, one which I find best worn on a summer afternoon.

This is a beautiful scent of a perfect osmanthus oolong with a little honey and grass jelly. It's so clean and gentle, perfect on its own or layered with other scents.

Overpowering and cloying.

This opens with an immediate dense honeyed sweetness that completely overwhelms any tea nuance. Instead of a light or comforting tea scent, it reads as a heavy nectar-like floral cloud that quickly becomes too much.

Projection is strong and persistent even with minimal application, and it becomes fatiguing rather than enjoyable very quickly.

Scrubbed immediately and had to change my clothes because it just wouldn’t go away.

Blind bought this. Unfortunately, too strong for me. Way too strong that one spray is truly enough.

Wish I tried the sample first.

This scent is a chameleon. Some days it’s a rather earthy tea with a bit of jasmine funk (which I appreciate in a tea), other days it’s piercingly clear and sweet with the most beautiful honey note. Sometimes honey is bad, but this smells just like honey tastes and is a beautiful complement to the tea notes. Either way, I’m so glad I purchased this and can easily see myself going through a whole bottle.

I like this scent fine- I think it would be best for spring. It does smell very tea forward but it doesn’t feel like an everyday wearable one for me.

A true black tea with milk scent. Literally smells like a cup of tea, which is not what I want from a tea scent. Dry down was stale/bad; had to wash it off.

This has a fresh, beautiful sweet tea smell. The jasmine tea comes through really strongly. I've ordered a full bottle.

I thought this would smell really fresh and bright and fruity! Unfortunately, it has this old musty scent to it that’s smells like tea gone bad. I am not really getting fresh fruit, more like something dry and almost like honey sweet.
