Vanille Carbone

After searching for a non-gourmand vanilla, I tried Vanille Carbone. For me, depending on the weather, it starts out with spices and leather. I don’t usually care for leathery notes on myself, but this is perfect. The same goes for the incense which adds a whisper of smokiness. This is a lovely perfume that I think will layer and add complexity to some of my woody perfumes. Definitely not a blind buy. I did have one day where it smelled like a less sweet root beer float, but I didn’t really mind. My husband and I both found it nostalgic. For me, it is definitely full-bottle worthy, and a joy to wear.

It’s a pleasant smell. I was expecting it to be much more syrupy and it’s not. I get an almost tonka smell to it. Nice just not for me.

The fragrance is definitely a great quality product, but it is too masculine for my taste.

This is absolutely divine. It smells like vanilla beans, not a juvenile sickly sweet vanilla. Dries down to a delicious lactonic creaminess and has an hint of musk. Although if vanilla milky scents don’t work well either your chemistry you definitely want to sample this, don’t blind buy a whole bottle. As for me I’m thinking of buying a larger bottle for sure.

This was the last sample I tried, and it grew on me after each wear. It's a sexy, dark vanilla that is unisex. I will be purchasing a bottle of this one for sure.
