Indigo Smoke

Indigo Smoke is the tea scent to end my quest for tea scents. This clarifying, uplifting, perfectly tannic, gently smoky lapsang souchong, presence of a perfume; Indigo Smoke eclipsed two other renowned tea frags for me so completely that I decluttered their iconic and discontinued selves. This perfume meets me perfectly where I am, with balance and support, and accompanies my day, all day long, without overwhelming nor underwhelming, and the unfolding to the drydown is a thing of beauty, with the bright slight sweetness of the bergamot, mandarin, and apricot chaperoning the steady shift over tannic woods, a plume of incense smoke spiraling rising steam from a freshly steeping cup.

I love this. It smells like the vibes of reading on a resting day in a chair. And that chair is the thinking chair from Blues Clues. So on. It has such a warm scent that’s addicting to smell, and I don’t like tea at all but for smelling it’s amazing :D

This is an excellent smoky tea scent. It is definitely within the same family as Blue Madeline and Sci fi, but where Blue Madeline goes bright and Sci fi goes vanillic, Indigo Smoke leans into its smoky aspect, where the tea brings an alert, awake aspect. Wear this on days where you want to focus and stay on task.

Indigo smoke was a rather intense Smokey scent and the smoke overpowered the whole experience. If you don’t like ashtray or cig Smokey smell I would avoid this one! I love several others from this brand but this one was to potent for me.

I am obsessed with this. It smells 'blue' but in a deep, intimate way. It reminds me of the blue ceilings painted in stars in old libraries. A fire in the corner, snow at the window. The tea note is wonderful, not masculine, not feminine, it opens up as this dries down and becomes a soft, woody, tea like skin scent with just a hint of the smoke (lapsang and incense playing well). For those looking for the vibe, It feels very dark academia but cozy, almost medieval. A bit sweeter than I expected, with something slightly berry-like but I suspect that's how the apricot and pine tar are playing together on my skin. Altogether I'd say it's deep, rounded, and smokey.

Smells like putting your nose in a container of old, dried apricots. I don’t enjoy it.

It’s so beautiful

I like the vibe, but I’m still getting to know it in rotation. I feel my relationship will evolve over time. Initial impression is positive, but it didn’t knock me off my feet.

I asked a friend to suggest to me a woodsy, slightly floral, with just a hint of smoke scent … boom!
A delightful combination that doesn’t dominate but elevates instead.
