A priest in Central Anatolia, in the city of Gordion, kneels in front of the goddess Kybele and plays the flute. The tune rising from the flute touches the fingers of the women weaving rugs in their homes, the ceramic sculptures made by the master working in his workshop, the mosaics in Midas’ palace, and joins with the blowing wind. The wind touches the lavenders and wild pears on the plain… it meets the iris with its unique scent. In the tune of an old song played in distant times…
