Golden Eyes

I love this scent. Every time I wear it I feel like a million bucks. I’ll be honest I’m not really sure what it smells like, because it’s not inherently woody, or sweet or gourmand, it’s so expertly blended that it just exudes a woody, almost ambery scent that is so rich and fantastic. I own the full bottle and the same I bought was actually a gift for someone else.

I struggle to describe how odd the performance on this fragrance is. The top notes upon first spray are very fresh and green, the rose berry is obvious, but quickly goes acrid on my skin. The whole fragrance stays that way for about half an hour. After that, the notes soften from a distance. My roommate stated it wasn't sharp when sitting next to me, and she liked the nutmeg. However, when I brought my arm closer to her face, she said it was acidic. The best part of this fragrance is the smoothness of the base notes, at the ~6 hour mark I was left with a high-quality sandalwood leather note that is beautiful. It's just weird that it smells terrible up close for so long.
