But Not Today

I admittedly only ordered a sample because of the Silence Of The Lambs inspo, but it straight up smells like cat litter 😭

Metallic and fruity. Very strong and unique. I’ve never smelled anything like it.

This fragrance is a complex blend notes, each easily identifiable in the mosaic of the fragrance and not a one muddied into the background. This is the fragrance to wear to make a statement- it grabs your attention, it is captivating, it is strong willed, with the kiss of L’ Aire du Temps to temper the sharp, metallic animalistic energy of the fragrance. It’s incredible, commanding, suggestive of danger. I love this scent for it’s singular uniqueness, nothing smells like this one.

I thinks it’s a great fragrance not because of how good it smells but the uniqueness of it and it’s exactly what I expected. not too good, not too bad but a highly mysterious smell that I was expecting. You can’t tell if it smells good or bad and that’s the whole point however it’s more on the good side ;)

First you laugh because you realize you've been tricked into spraying yourself with tiger urine. Next it smells like something is growing on you, on your rotting flesh that just started rotting where you just sprayed. Then you smell like the jungle floor after the battle of the apes and the snakes for a while. It really reeks. But you stick your nose in it because it reeks so good.

My instant reaction was strong disgust but with good humor. "Oh! Why would people smell this on purpose?" I think it's bad and I hate it and everyone should hate this perfume. And find it comically funny at the same time.

The name "But Not Today" describes the signal this scent sends: yes, let's do it, but I need to be disinfected first.

I'm smelling it on myself, hunting for what I hate about it, and everything that I can find is something I like. I'm disappointed when I can't find a single thing I don't like. It's just too many things clashing, harmonies interrupted by dissonant yet beautiful notes. This perfume dries in so many stages, the waxing and waning notes making a chord progression through alternating phases of tension and release, it's a rhapsody.

I need more time with this one. "But Not Today" is a hint that there is more to this fragrance than can be grasped in one day.

I’m not exactly getting Hannibal here. It opens up sticky sweet, like maple syrup, then moves on to a base of herbal that gets close to musty animalic. It’s layered but doesn’t quite hit the mark.
I’ve been going down the list of challenging scents and this was underwhelming. I was told that it smells like blood and razors, but I think Inexcusable Evil did a much better job of depicting that theme.

Smells like an herb garden on an overcast day. I don’t get any of the decay or other eerie notes people attribute to this fragrance, just a nice, if intense, earthy herbal.

I really can’t tell the blood smells like that, but who you really try to impress if you smell like a raw steak? Maybe a neighbors dog will be more appreciated than your gf?

The longer I wore it, the more I loved it. Every time I smelled it I felt like I was transported into an ancient cathedral.
