Lipstick Rose

A very nice addition to my collection of rose fragrances. This scent is spot on from lipsticks I can remember wearing from decades ago. Very soft and perfect on days when I still want roses but nothing too big. Once again scent split is the absolute best and my favorite guilty pleasure for my growing collection of decants!

I was really excited to try this, as a longtime lover of Guerlain Insolence and Chanel Misia. I’m especially drawn to soft violet and iris notes, so this felt like a natural fit.

Unfortunately, it didn’t land the way I had hoped. On the first spritz, Lipstick Rose opens with a very sharp, aldehydic top note that I find quite reminiscent of Chanel No. 5. While that classic profile is beautiful to many, it leans too harsh and “soapy” on my skin and nose .

I can appreciate the concept and the quality, but for my personal taste, the opening is just something I can’t get past. Sadly, this one is a no for me.

this does smell like a rose and it’s feminine and dainty, however it’s just not for me. it smelled a little bit leaning towards the air freshener side of smells that unfortunately didn’t want to make me let it sit and dry down on my skin. I would still recommend sampling if you’re into violet and iris. sometimes those types of powdery notes lean Febreeze to me

It reminds me of lipstick powder very soft I like it

Wasn’t sure about this at first, it’s VERY powdery but wears really nicely. Reminds me of makeup in the 90s, a super nostalgic scent for me!

Very feminine and delicate powdery rose.. absolutely love it. Lasts about 4 hours on me

Smells exactly like lipstick. A little too waxy. As it dries it get softer and you can smell more of the powder.
