Vanitas

One of those that once you smell it, none of your other perfumes matter any more. Love at first sniff. Delicious crushed sour candy is what I get. Not a hint of any of the actual listed notes. So incredibly nostalgic.

I must start by giving a shout out to Scent Split. I would never be able to get a true experience of these niche perfumes if I always had to buy a full bottle. Thank you for existing so collectors like myself can be selective and have enough juice to truly immerse ourselves in the sensory experience. Oh dear Vanitas! How I wanted to love you. After reading glowing reviews comparing it to Kilian’s Love Don’t Be Shy and Bianco Latte, I expected a powerful, unique vanilla masterpiece. Some have even compared it to cotton candy, which is one of my favorite notes, and it is nowhere to be found according to my nose memory. Instead, the citrus note dominates from the start more sharp orange than soft orange blossom and quickly turns bitter and sour on my skin. It eventually shifts to a light vanilla, but the citrus lingers faintly in the background, never fully letting the creamy warmth shine through. The sillage is moderate, and after a short while it fades into a nondescript skin scent. The transitions are distinct and interesting, but for me, Vanitas is “full-bottle worthy” only to own, not to wear.

The initial spray took me aback, but I had never smelled myrrh before. The dry down is addicting and sweet, but not overly sweet. I personally love extremely sweet fragrances, and this is definitely on the lower end of that but could still pass as a "clean girl" fragrance. It has this cotton candy-esque quality to it, but a grown up version of cotton candy. If you remember the original pink bottle of Johnson & Johnson baby lotion, I get a hint of that nostalgic smell as well.
If you're looking for something soft, sweet, girly, unique, and inoffensive that will have people stop and ask you what you're wearing - this is the perfume for you. The projection is strong but not overwhelming. It lasted 10 hours on my skin, and 3 days later it's still lingering on my clothes I was wearing as I put them into the washer.

This is a soft yet very sweet vanilla. Its a beauitiful scent on its own but its so sweet. If you like a sugary sweet you will love this.

Vanitas

Vanitas is a beautiful sugary perfectly sweet almost cotton candy fragrance and it was love at first sniff for me. This smells very expensive not cheap at all but like a spun sugar fragrance that is nearly mouthwatering! This is long-lasting too no need to overspray.

Unique, not an average vanilla, reviews online often describe it as "too sweet", definitely not in my opinion, in fact, I felt it was not sweet enough.
I will definitely get the bottle.

Vanitas is 100% my favorite perfume. It smells just like cotton candy.

I'm enjoying exploring perfumes but I wish more of the niche perfumes were available to try. Oh and some free samples for customers that orders frequently.
