Olymra

Olymra is a fragrance house inspired by the natural landscapes of Greece and the country’s botanical heritage. The brand’s identity is rooted in the historical significance of saffron, an ingredient that has held cultural, medicinal, and symbolic importance in the Mediterranean region since ancient times. References to Greek history and mythology are incorporated throughout the brand’s storytelling and visual design.

The Olymra emblem is derived from saffron motifs found on the Linear B tablets of the Palace of Knossos in Crete, reinterpreted into a contemporary symbol that reflects the connection between ancient craftsmanship and modern perfumery.

The house was founded by Dr. Frida Michailidou, a Greek scientist and former lecturer at ETH Zurich. Her research has focused on Greek botanicals and the scent profiles of Mount Olympus, combining scientific innovation with an interest in sustainability and the preservation of Greece’s natural heritage.
