L'Ivrée Nuit Extrait

It is warm, enveloping and so cozy. To me it feels like a cup of warm sweetened milk. I don’t pick up the mango or passion fruit. The price point is higher than I would like so it doesn’t get 5 stars.

I wanted to like this SO bad. Based on the reviews this seemed like it would be so good. It was not. There was something so screechy in this fragrance that did not mellow down. And the musky scent it dried down to after a while was still sharp. However, if you like Vanilla Powder I am sure you will like this. It’s basically the same thing with a tropical twist. I am hoping this grows on me but I don’t know if I will be able to put it on again considering how off putting it is to me.

Unique scent - at first I wasn't sure but grew to love it - its very sexy and alluring

You want mango? This is big, juicy mango right off the top with a hint of passionfruit for acidity. It's a lot of vanilla, almost too much for me but, the woods and musks save it, but just. I can't say the nectarine is discernible to me but the mango and passionfruit sure are. Totally unisex and can be day or evening.

I keep buying scents with milk notes, wanting them to work, even though I know they go a little funky and sour on me every time. Here, I did it again. This went on so milky, I thought I’d have to scrub it off. But the milk note calmed and balanced really quickly on my skin. As it wore, it didn’t get nearly as curdled on me as most milk notes, which I’ll take as a win! The mango note is the #1 diva, star of the show here. And she is STUNNING!!!! 20/10, no notes. The wear on that note is exemplary as well. The wear overall is good, but I’d expect more than low medium projection and good wear from an extrait, particularly at this price point. So far with my three Ormaie samples, I’m more impressed with the compositions than how the scents perform on skin. Unisex. Work appropriate. Summer vibes.

Like a tropical vanilla powder. It’s a love!
