Osang by Mendittorosa is a Oriental fragrance for Women & Men

OSANG is inspired by this extraordinary annual miracle, a scent of viscous beauty, blood rising, shifting from inertia to bubbling resurrection.

A miracle of love. A perfumed celebration of saints and superstitions, centred around a ravenous fenugreek absolute note lavished with singed pyrazines, sacrificial myrrh and mournful molten honey poured over everything like amber rain. Meadow blooms, sticky dark resins, pungent balms and ashen clouds of iris swirl like dramatic weather.

The miracle slowly unfolds from sunlit flowers through a sea of honey and glorious fenugreek, stirring our hunger into clouds of swirling darkness, golden hope and cindered skies. A perfume of darkness that slowly explodes into delirious, mysterious light, a Talisman of blood, seething with shadows and burning magic.

Masterpiece & Good Service :)

I first came across Mendittorosa online and was instantly intrigued by their uniquely designed bottles. Among their fragrances, Osang particularly stood out due to its polarizing reviews—some described it as metallic and bloody, while others were absolutely captivated by it. Naturally, my curiosity was piqued.

Last year, while visiting China, I stumbled upon a niche perfume boutique that carried the entire Mendittorosa collection. That was the first time I got to experience Osang in person. To my surprise, it wasn’t as “bloody” as I had imagined. Instead, it opened with a striking incense note that instantly transported me to the grand Catholic cathedrals I had visited in Europe, where ceremonial incense fills the air.

I took a sample with me and, after returning to the U.S., found myself reaching for it more and more—it truly grew on me. So when I discovered that Scent Split carried Mendittorosa, I didn’t hesitate to order a full bottle.

As for the scent itself: the opening bursts with animalic saltiness, where spicy notes sharpen the metallic edge of labdanum. Honey wraps around the incense, creating a sticky, resinous texture that subtly evokes blood. As it evolves, the sharpness softens into something waxy and smooth. The frankincense becomes more prominent, blending with floral undertones and turning the fragrance deeply spiritual—almost liturgical. In the drydown, Osang settles into a resinous, woody blend of sweet and salty incense, evoking the peaceful, decaying beauty of an old church bathed in afternoon light.

The bottle design deserves special mention—elegant and artisanal, with a hand-crafted cap and a piece of red coral embedded inside. It’s a work of art on its own.

Scent Split’s service was excellent—the perfume was well-packaged, shipped quickly via UPS, and most importantly, 100% authentic (I compared it with my original sample). As a first-time buyer, I even received a discount, which made the purchase even more worthwhile.

In short, I absolutely love Osang—both the scent and the design—and couldn’t be happier with my experience at Scent Split.

One for the Ages

I completely fell i love with the sample from Scent Split and purchased the full bottle from Mendittorosa since I couldn't find it elsewhere. It traveled from Italy to Mississippi in less than a week and it's fabulous. The beautiful bottle encased in a gorgeous box for safekeeping. The house enclosed a handwritten note and a sample of Amygdala (because my name is Amy??????) which I also love!
