Nestled high in the mountain cliffs of Bhutan, the Paro Taktsang is a Buddhist holy site of breathtaking beauty, seemingly suspended between heaven and earth. With Tiger's Nest, MEMO draws on the full beauty of this sacred place- spiritual, cultural, and geographic- to deliver a sublime incense scent both joyfully bright and richly nuanced. Sparkling citrus and aldehyde notes contrast against a bitter, herbaceous absinthe accord, elevating the consciousness and opening the way for a gorgeous incense- cool, ethereal, gently smoky- that weaves in delicate spice and subtly sweet, transparent florals for a profoundly transportative mood. Papyrus extends the verisimilitude, evoking treasured texts, and tolu balsam furthers the feeling of ancient structures embraced by the earth. We don't travel merely to see places we've never been before, but to experience the unique energy that they give to the world. As such, Tiger's Nest is not merely a visit to Bhutan, but a brush with enlightenment.
Oil of absinthe, aldehyde, lime, saffron, incense, osmanthus, ylang ylang, rose, papyrus, vanilla, tolu balsam
Loved it at first breath; aldehyde delivered cool clarity mixed with light floral followed by an immediate and distinct incense. But on the drydown, the incense disappeared on me and all I got was powder and some spice. Wanted to like it more than I did. A beautiful fragrance, but just not for me.
I love this enough, I bought a larger spray decant. ☺️💕
It is definitely a very unique scent, I wanted something that would scream Asian, I am from south east Asia and in my mind I wanted something that would smell close to my homeland, the smell of the Buddhist temple and of peace and this has that and it was what I have been searching for. It is beautiful.
This scent deserves a good review but I have no words for it. I didn't necessarily like it when I first put it on but an hour later it's a beautiful scent. Maybe it's absinthe, or saffron...notes I've never smelled before. Familiar yet mysterious too.
