Aberdeen Lavender is a passionate tribute to Creed's early client and endearing patron, Her Majesty Queen Victoria, whose heart lay always in the Highlands of Scotland. Olivier created this as a historical nod to the Creed archives and the Queen's beloved, picturesque Northern retreat. Mysterious anise-flavored absinthe, rosemary, bergamot and Sicilian lemon give way to a confident bouquet of tuberose, lily, rose and the unique lavender for which Aberdeen is known worldwide.
- Top notes: absinthe, rosemary, bergamot, Sicilian lemon
- Middle notes: lavender, tuberose, lily, rose
- Base notes: patchouli, leather, vetiver
I was excited to get Aberdeen Lavender, and had high hopes that I would love it. It’s a decent scent. I get fresh out of the bath vibes when I put it on. To me, it’s more of a masculine scent- maybe something my husband would wear. Over all, it was okay.
This is an odd mixture. Unlike Creed's Cedre Blanc, where you can taste the cedar, Aberdeen Lavender has a surprisingly muted lavender character blended with other floral notes. After an hour, it smells like frankincense and leather. It's not bad, but different from what I expected. I'm glad I tried a 1 mL sample as this one is not really for me.
The service and packaging from Scent Split was excellent; I definitely would recommend it to others.
I don't smell any lavender in this.
