Fresh and also warm, bright and also dark, Sunshine Man is a striking new scent from the house of Amouage as gorgeously contradictory as the solar eclipse from which it draws inspiration. Built around a boozy, syrupy note of orange brandy, an herbaceous kick of clary sage and juniper, and a rich yet fresh base of cedar, tonka and vanilla, Sunshine Man is dramatically different in composition from the frankincensed opulence of past releases, and yet, in its sensuality and sophistication, it is clearly every bit an Amouage, with originality and longevity to spare. With each contrasting element playing off its counterpart, Sunshine Man achieves ideal balance- the kind of spectacular scent that can cool off a hot summer day or warm up a cold winter night. Another triumph for creative director Christopher Chong and Amouage, Sunshine Man is a versatile new addition to your wardrobe.
Lavender, orange brandy, everlasting flower, bergamot, juniper berry, clary sage, cedarwood, tonka bean, vanilla
I don’t like it
Great frag, definitely a spring/summer gem! Mines wasnt flat or dry at all... Colder air overpowers this, so use with logical discretion. Giving it a fair 4 because i tried it out of season so far. Great thing is the base of the cedar, vanilla and tonka plays well on the everlasting flower and lavander notes in the opening... Once again its still cold, what i percieve to be as the orange brandy is either too faint or somewhere smothered up top by the time the sage hits along with the lavender fading in transition...
Bottomline anything sun related im in, yes the notes are strong enough to hold in cold weather with tactful spraying, and the transition of notes i get is refreshingly non-linear! Solid 4!
I own Interlude and Reflection and love them both. I've sampled Sunshine, Jubilation XXV & Gold. Sunshine was disappointing due to being flat and dry. It just didn't have any pop, nor would I consider it a mellow soothing frag.
Good product, everything was on time and what I expected
