Imitation Man

We have been trying to sample all of the older Amouage scents to see what we have been missing. (This house is our favorite) but, this was a no for my husband. Both versions of men’s and women’s were very sweet and floral. Longevity is there too, this would be good if it suited you, but it didn’t us.

It was ok not a must have

Leathery wood sweet manly man

Good scent but dies on my skin fairly quickly

Such an intriguing fragrance! Truly captures the spirit that it was going for, a stroll down a busy lane in NYC in the 70s. To me, the scent profile conjures up the image of that weird oily substance you see leaking from cars in a parking lot on a hot summer day. Weird description, I know, but that's just what comes to mind. Great experience from ScentSplit as well, quick shipping and fun sampling experience!

When I received a decant of this scent, I was disappointed with this fragrance. I can't say I hate it, but it's difficult to like. The first 5 or 6 hours smell like bug spray. It's also too floral and powdery. I heard it has a leather note, but i don't smell that at all. After it dries down for 5 or 6 hours it's actually kind of nice. I'm too afraid to wear this one in public.
