Intensive and sensible, modern, and comfortably warm, masculine and gentle... Le Male is a magnetically attractive fragrance that seduces with its uniqueness; it is built on contrasts: traditional and bold, fresh and mild, strong and sensual, in one word: absolutely irresistible for women. Fresh mint is a symbol of strength; the tradition is represented by lavender; vanilla gives warmth and tenderness.
It was created in 1995 by Francis Kurkdjian.
Le Male Notes:
The top notes are composed of mint, lavender and bergamot.
The heart is composed of cinnamon, cumin, and orange blossom.
The base contains vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and cedarwood.
As a piece of designer perfumery, it's clear that it's made well enough, but to me, it's too stinky, obnoxious, and youthful. It's like instead of spraying big cans of Axe body spray in the boy's locker room, those high school kids have rich parents who buy them this instead. Quality is good, but I have to question the taste of anyone in their 20s who wears this.
I like the scent, it very nice. It also works in the high heat, not to overpowering. The only thing is it didn't last after 3 hours. Other than that, a good retro scent for a night out.
