Fleur de Peau EDP

Fleur de Peau by Diptyque is an incredibly refined, skin-close fragrance. It does not shout or fill the room, but it smells costly: clean, powdery, with a soft floral touch and no sweetness at all.
The real magic is how it works with natural leather. I accidentally sprayed a bit on my leather wallet, and now it smells so wonderful that I sometimes can't help but keep smelling it.
If you enjoy intellectual and complicated, powdery floral fragrances that are not sweet, Fleur de Peau is exactly that kind of scent. Quiet, thoughtful and very beautiful.

Roses but with winter vibes

At first I didn't think I would like it but after the second time I used it I fell in love with it for everyday perfume. It has a clean fresh smell like you just got out of the shower . it doesn't last very long in my opinion, that's the thing I don't like about it if it lasted longer it'd be perfect. This is more like an up close and personal type of perfume.

I can appreciate a well crafted perfume even if I am not a soapy/powdery fragrance lover. However, if you are, Fleur de Peau may be just the thing for you. It is a floral-fresh scent that doesn't go laundry detergent. Pink pepper kicks things off but the fragrance actually becomes comforting and nostalgic. Another one of those "your skin but better" than can be hard to explain why you like it so much. EDP has good longevity.

Kind of obsessed with this

With all the hype, I thought I was going to love this. However, just not my cup of tea. It's very old library and has a smoke vibe that I don't care for. The dry down is a little more mild and sweet, but with my skin chemistry it faded really fast. Definitely a skin scent and NOT blind buy safe. I believe Diptyque is coming out with an EDT version that places the peppery smoke with magnolia? I might sample that one out of curiosity, as I do think if this was brighter it could work really well.
