The name of this fragrance explains it all. If Generation X had a smell, this would be it. Smoking clove cigarettes and burning nag champa in a teenage den of depression (complete with glow in the dark stars on the ceiling) while Smashing Pumpkins “Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness” serves as your soundtrack. Crushed velvet babydoll dresses and mini backpacks line your closet and you have just received the latest issue of Sassy magazine. If any of this review resonates with you, hurry and purchase!!
This is my first time ordering from Scent Split and I am very pleased! This fragrance is AMAZING and the real thing! Thank you
It's nice to be able to get a sample of a perfume without having to buy an entire bottle. My wife really enjoyed the samples
1996 Inez & Vinoodh
I had high hopes for this one and after trying at least 11 Byredo fragrances (with no luck except maybe Black Saffron which is only wearable sparingly, its so strong). I was really looking forward to receiving this sample, so much so that I even purchased the 6 ml sample instead of the 1 ml as it sounded right up my alley. Straight out of the vial I immediately got putrid and old. It reminds me of playing in my grandmothers attic and finding perfume bottles that belonged to HER mother! Just to give you an idea, I tried to give the sample to three different women and their reactions varied from "oh my God- ugghh" to "Yuck!" I think a person has to have a really unique body chemistry for this to work. I couldn't stand it enough to get to the dry down when I tried it so maybe its better then, but seriously, one of the most disgusting scents I've tried.
