    Black cherry, violet, and rose pile on thick, then a dark patchouli-vetiver base keeps it grounded. Bruno Jovanovic went big here, and it holds together.

    This one isn't shy. Bruno Jovanovic opened with black cherry, and it hits dense and ripe from the first spray. Freesia and a touch of orange keep it from tipping into gourmand territory, but only just. The heart doubles down. Violet and rose together, which can go powdery fast, but the Peru balsam adds a sticky, almost smoky depth that holds everything in place. Where it gets interesting is the base: patchouli Prisma and Haitian vetiver give it an earthy, humid quality, like warm stone after rain. It's an opulent fragrance, no question. But it earns it. The materials are good enough that the loudness doesn't feel cheap.
