I hated this on first spray, wife loved it though. So I gave it a chance, now I’m obsessed. Starts off a hay filled, barnyard accord but dries down to a nice warm leather scent.

‘llm is definitely challenging, the oud note is a very strong animalic type and very dominant but that is what is listed as the note/s and if that is what you like, go for it. No chemical or cheap ingredients here, you get typical high quality Xerjoff in this scent. I love Xerjoff but I highly advise to sample of this one, its challenging. I personally found it to come off way too strong and fecal on both myself and my hubby, we are not up to that level of oud yet., Very linear as well, that animalic oud did not evolve much. If you love strong animalic ouds, this is the one for you. If you like something softer, try Fars or Alexandria ll which are unisex. I wonder if maturation will change the scent at all, I will retry it again in a few months. I hope this review is useful.

I've learned the hard way, by making some bad blind buys. So I get samples now. This one is a perfect reason for samples. Never fully understood the phrase "animalic" or "fecal" when describing oud. I get it now. On my skin, this one has the distinct aroma of a petting zoo. I can use this in some serious layering, but it's pungent by itself. Comes out mooing but calms down. In my opinion, best combined or layered with a more fruity / rose rich fragrance. Of this range, I greatly prefer Ether. Probably not a mass market appeal. Longevity is a few hours on skin. Fecal animalic the first half hour.
