Colonia Flor de Ciruelo

Whew, if you like heavy floral scents, this might be for you. I'm not sure if it's the plum blossom, ylang ylang, or the jasmine, but the florals are overpowering any of the other notes. I'm not a very floral person, but I was expecting some fruit/jammy smell...my nose doesn't detect any. Also hoping that the sandalwood would ground this fragrance and give it more depth and interest. I totally missed the smell of fruity plums. As far as florals go, I do love an interesting jasmine, but again, I'm not sniffing it at all. And, as previously mentioned, I'm not smelling the base notes of sandalwood or musk. This fragrance seems extremely vintage, like something from the 1950s. It might be the scent of that drawer liner that your grandmother used in her dresser drawers. I only put a dab on my wrist, so I can't address sillage, but longevity is lasting about 4 hours. It's not an original or expensive smelling juice. In fact, it smells like something you'd get in the drug store or the old fashioned Woolworths. If you are into strong florals, you can sample this one, but if you're looking for a spicy or soft creamy floral, this isn't it. I would say that this leans very feminine and should be worn in the Spring/Summer. I think a few light sprays is enough so as not to be cloyingly sweet. Sorry Jo Malone, but I still have several others to sample. Thank you Scent Split for offering us samples before purchasing FBs.
