Matcha Soft Serve

I really didn't think I would like this when I first smelled it, but I really enjoy it. The opening is matcha heavy, and it dries down to a creamy waffle cone scent. Performance is great! It's a buildable fragrance.

Opening is photorealistic opening a tin of matcha. No weird fishy smells like other matcha scents might have. Light, powdery, non-offensive. 5 minutes in if I sniff really close there is a slight plastic finish to the inhale. Plasticky scent grew stronger until 1 hour it went away, leaving a (light) lovely sweet creamy matcha tea close to my skin. Very little projection. It continues to get sweeter on my skin chemistry until it wears off ~4/5 hours.

I tried out d'Annam's Japan discovery set and loved Matcha Soft Serve and Sakura Snow. Both scents are great on their own, but also pair beautifully together. I didn't want to spend hundreds on two full sized bottles, so I'm glad I was able to get decants of both. Matcha Soft Serve is a lovely sweet green tea scent. The creamy sweetness is balanced by fresh, slightly bitter green notes. It smells divine on my skin.

This is one of the few gourmand scents that I own, and I really enjoy it. I love the waffle cone scent that appears during the dry down.

Really love this scent, still yummy sweet with a little of that earthy matcha making it more elevated than a basic gourmand. definitely will be getting more from D’Annam.

There is absolutely no sweetness to this. Its like sticking your nose into a pile of matcha powder. I love it!
