London Fog

This is a beautiful sweet & floral scent. If you are familiar with Kerastase hair products this smells oh so similar to their Exilir Ultime hair oil. I work in a salon & spa & this instantly smelled familiar.

I tend to enjoy more unisex to masculine leaning scents, this one is definitely more fem, but I enjoy it. Sweet and creamy yet floral & bright. A great fragrance to elevate or sophisticate your scent profile.

Right off I was hut with Lavender. Its not bad and ither people.seemed to line the scent. But i personally can only tolerate Lavender on the lighter side. This lasted well though and I added a heavier chocolate scent amd they blended well to a cozy scent thay I actually really enjoyed. I wish it was heavier on a bergamot and smoke side.

I was so intrigued by the notes, I knew I had to try this one. On me, it opens bright and juicy with a twist of lavender. The dry down is more creamy lavender on me. If you’re intrigued by the notes, I think you will love it too!

Soft, cozy, and a little rainy-day chic. It has that slightly misty, musky-woody vibe, comforting but not heavy. Think cool walks in a crisp city fog with a warm, clean aura lingering behind. Very “effortless chic” energy, low-key but memorable.

It definitely smells like earl Grey tea on paper, but it pulls very sharp on my skin. I dont think this scent is for me.

I know everyone's skin can cause different reactions to different perfumes, and I have been looking for a creamy, not-too-sweet, non-powdery sandalwood scent. While doing some online lurking on different fragrance forums, many people expressed that this particular iteration of a London Fog perfume seemed to be quite citrusy on the opening, and that turned me off of trying it for a while. Thank goodness Scent Split offers a 1ml sample size, or I might never have tried this.

The four perfumes I sampled were London Fog (my favorite), Piano Santal (creamy sandalwood, but not with the delicate sweetness I was looking for), Tam Dao (another beautiful, soft sandalwood, but with some smokiness that, while lovely, wasn't what I wanted) and Santal 33 (stunning, but VERY sandalwood forward, which is beautiful but not what I desired).

Yes, when I first apply Brandt's London Fog to the skin I do notice the bergamot. I don't typically go for fresh fragrance as I tend to pull the vanilla and warmth out of perfumes, but the (non offensive) citrusy top note does seem to disappear on me pretty quickly. A mid note of a milky lavender is present for a while as it settles. What I am left with is a soft, creamy, not-too-sweet vanilla with a hint of sandalwood. EXACTLY what I was looking for in so many other sandalwood fragrances.

The thing that sold me on this is the longevity. I'm honestly blown away. I can still smell the perfume on my skin the following day after application. My clothes carry the fragrance as well (note that the citrus/bergamot does stay a little more prevalent on clothing vs. my skin). I will absolutely be adding this beautiful perfume to my collection.

There is that first note that I don’t like, something sour, potentially bergamot. After it wears off it opens nicely, I am just not sure I want to continue wearing it
