Seven years after the launch of Un Air d’Apogée by the French perfumery Maison Violet, the house introduces a stronger Extrait de Parfum edition. While the original featured an aromatic spicy composition, this new iteration falls into the leather category. It is crafted by the fertile imagination of renowned perfumer Nathalie Lorson, who also created the original Eau de Parfum.
Un Air d’Apogée Extrait reveals its essence even before spraying through the fascinating purple color of its flacon beneath the golden print.
The perfume opens with a promising leather accord that registers as absolute opulence. While the pillar edition presents a floral tinged tobacco atop a spicy touch, a tactile suede accord, and lavish woody notes, this flanker highlights a different facet of the same powdery flowers. Iris and mimosa remain the key to the supreme and upscale identity of both perfumes.
In this perfume extrait, the composition relies on a duet of tobacco and leather that spins around not only iris and mimosa but also a sublime rose, raspberry, honey, and labdanum. From the base, Madame Lorson utilizes Ambrox Super, an alternative to ambergris, to elevate the floral elements and lend them a luminous shine.
