White Mimosa by Salvatore Ferragamo is an Oriental Floral fragrance for women and men. White Mimosa was launched in 2014. Top notes are ambrette (musk mallow) and mandarin orange; middle notes are white mimosa, white flowers, and heliotrope; base notes are iris and vanilla.
I was erroneously expecting a note of champagne somewhere but this turned out to be a pleasant surprise anyway. In truth, I'd ordered a bunch of 1ml samples and thought this was Jo Malone's fragrance. I didn't realize it was the Ferragamo one until I noticed the scent was richer and warmer than I expected from JM notoriously crisp and softer scents. This scent is kind of a medium warm floral musk with a hint of milky sweetness (probably the vanilla blended with the other notes) and a cologne-esque finish. (Maybe it is a cologne?) Either way, I actually like it, the only thing is that it is not an EDP or EDT—it's concentrated and strong—and I accidentally spilled the entire 1ml on myself which sent my head spinning for a bit. It's an interesting fragrance and I suspect it's one of those that is very uniquely reactive to different body chemistries. It's compatible with mine but I'd be careful to try a drop on your skin for a few hours before really "going for it". Definitely use sparingly in any case.
I ordered this because the idea of a mimosa smelling scent sounded delicious, until I realized it was mimosa tree flowers and not the drink. The scent is fairly powdery and a little too elderly for me.
