The ambroxan gives this scent an enormous spaciousness. It’s lighter than air! I’m still learning my scent note references, and it turns out I really prefer tuberose as a supporting player and not the lead. So this isn’t for me personally. But I still appreciate that it’s stunning as a composition. I honestly can’t fault it. The pear is beautifully present as a supporter to the white florals. I don’t really get tea or ginger. I only tried this on a scent strip and not skin but it seems like the projection and wear would be exemplary.

I was seriously surprised. I smell and sample lots of fragrances but this one is truly special. My husband loves it just as much. Classy but fun.

Bear with me, I never do reviews and I’m certainly no perfume collector, but I wanted to try this perfume since it was mentioned by scenttakes on TikTok. I really like her style. Anyway, she mentioned this one out of many possible summer fragrances. French Flower stays on my skin all day. The scent doesn’t change on me the way other perfumes do. Take Valaya, for instance, my daughter said I smelled like a porter potty, and I couldn’t help but agree with her. Thank the Lord for samples. With French Flower, it stood intact. I don’t know what other flower scents are present in this perfume but at the end, I smell of soft jasmine. Even with its initial spray, it’s not strong or overwhelming and then you’re just smelling little wisps of flowers as you go through your day. It’s very pleasant and summery. I already need to buy another.

A gorgeous, enveloping tuberose. I don't think it works for me personally as a perfume, but I'm so glad I got to sniff it and still have some left to enjoy.

I absolutely adore this scent. I tend to evaluate fragrances on two things: my initial impression upon smelling it, and how long it lasts. I can gleefully report that this passes both tests with flying colors. Not only is the feminine tuberose intoxicating, but the initial ginger note gives it a childlike, playful quality that makes it truly addictive. It stays on my clothes for days after a few sprays, too. Another hit from Matiere- in my opinion, one of the foremost fragrance houses of the modern era.
