Steamed Rainbow

This literally smells amazing, only problem is that it hardly lasts. It lasts a bit longer if i put vaseline on before, but not a significant difference. The scent itself is amazing though.

Opens with a burst of fresh water coming out of a hose onto a bed of flowers. It’s like a cross between that, and a fancy hotel lobby with a spa. However, I tried this one several times before writing the review, and I can now say with confidence (and a touch of disappointment) that this fragrance has extremely minimal projection. I sprayed a bit heavier than I usually do, on top of an unscented lotion, and even then, I had to touch my nose directly to my skin in order to smell it. I do still like it a lot, but I’m curious if anyone else has noticed this issue with Steamed Rainbow. 7.3/10

Wonderful scent. Wish it lasted longer on my skin.

I had initially been a bit hesitant to order a sample of this, purely due to the multiple reviews of others saying this smelled like rusty water, or an old pond that had been sitting for too long, with algae and murky water- or that it didn’t smell anything like water and was just a nondescript sweet smell.

But I was instantly proved wrong. This (at least to me) has a slight sunscreen scent, but it’s very aquatic and light. Not light in the sense that it’s not a strong scent, but it has this airy quality to it I can’t fully explain. It smells wet, it smells like summer, it smells like those awful cartoon character ice cream pops (the ones that always had misplaced gum-ball eyes) melting down your fingers that still tasted good despite the abominable appearance, it smells like the fresh hose water your mom sprayed you and your siblings down with after messily playing all day in the yard.

I’ve never had such a visceral reaction to a scent before. Not even a scent that disgusted me. I’ve never gagged at a scent, and if anything, my eyes would involuntarily water from whatever was assaulting my senses. I had to take a moment and collect myself after smelling this for the first time, and the second time I smelled it while showing my samples to my sibling, I genuinely teared up.

This brought back so many childhood memories I thought I had lost to the natural progression of becoming an adult. I’m only in my twenties, but the early summers when I was a toddler. This smells exactly like it. Innocence and sunscreen and chilly water.

I love this scent and I am 100% going to save for a full bottle.

I was so intrigued when I read reviews describing the scent as humid or as pirates of the caribbean water. It is true! After it dries, the violet comes through strong. Surprisingly delightful.

I had heard so much about Steamed Rainbow and am so glad I have given it a try. It's a perfect green summer scent. On me, the fresh green scent comes through way stronger than anything else with a hint of citrus and a small hint of floral. It really just smells like a lovely warm summer day.

Wonderful , bright summer fragrence.....upgraded to a full size bottle!

truly pirates of the Caribbean water but tough projection

It’s a really pleasant scent. You definitely do get a sense of steam/humidity. It’s light, sweet, and unisex. It’s very much a personal scent. Not any projection. Edited to add: I raised this from a 4 star to a 5 star rating because when I went to do my laundry. I smelled this on my cotton button down, even though I had only applied it to my skin, and it smelled amazing on there. Edited again to add: I thought I felt “just ok, not amazing” about this, but I keep going back to it. So it has sneakily become one of my subtle summer favorites.
