Another winner from PAP

Booze, a little animal and rose, rose that is floral but not necessarily identifiable as rose to me. In a world replete with focus groups, push polls and mass conformity PAP is a breath of fresh something different. You will never smell another fragrance and say this reminds me of a PAP product. This is very boozy with very faint hints of late 70s to early 80s right guard on pits accord that is so abundant in Salome and soft, very soft florals. I usually hate florals and I am burnt out on rose at the moment. The florals in this are done just to my liking for a fellow who needs a break from flowers. Truth be told this did not resonate with me at first. It was too boozy but once it settles down, not too shabby. I will give it this, for a PAP product, of which this is my fourth, this is the only one that one can spray with confidence and walk into any situation. The other three are not as versatile. For example I love Salome. I think it is fantastic, my wife loves it too. It is so pungent and animalistic that I don’t necessarily want to subject others to it and when I wear it, it makes me want to jump on my wife. No wife jumping with this one. 😉. This sweetens over time. The funk is almost not detectable anymore. And then just like that the sweetness goes and the funk is back. Shades of old school Chanel funk. Try it. You may not like it but you should still try it.

A Spicy Honey Fragrance

I love this. The fragrance starts out full of cinnamon and bright myrrh with a cirtus-like tang. From there it settles to resinous rose and a musky honey. The fragrance isn't sticky sweet, moreso sweet in the way rose and myrrh are sweet. I adore it. Projection is modest for about 4 hours on me. Longevity in total is 8-10 hours.

Sweet Rose

This is a sweet, spiced rose. The perfumer has a knack for making a scent that smells classic, sophisticated and smooth.

Very nice indeed

I am really enjoying Bengale Rouge. I get a soft, round rose with a chaser of sandalwood and cinnamon. That’s my sense - and I really like it. Very happy with this buy.
