XJ 1861 Naxos by Xerjoff is a Citrus Gourmand fragrance for Women & Men.

A tribute to the passionate and vibrant spirit of Sicily, XJ 1861 Naxos encapsulates the island's rich traditions and dynamic energy. Opening with an invigorating blend of zesty bergamot, bright lemon, and soothing lavender, the fragrance exudes a joyful vitality. The heart reveals an audacious interplay of golden honey, spicy cinnamon, and opulent jasmine sambac, evoking the warmth and sensuality of the Mediterranean. As the scent deepens, tobacco leaf, creamy vanilla, and tonka bean lend a rich, exotic dry down, capturing the essence of Sicily’s fierce yet tender soul.

This harmonious blend of classical and contemporary notes celebrates the timeless allure of Sicily, where ancient history meets unbridled emotion and nature.

I enjoy the initial spray, but the dry down is a little overwhelming. Not a scent for me because I enjoy smelling colognes on me vs how others enjoy them! Overall, it was definitely worth trying!!

nice

Unexpectedly it becomes more sweet and light as it dries which is very pleasant. But when it’s first sprayed it’s very strong

Over Hyped

By the way the reviews on YouTube made this fragrance to be I expected more. At best it’s ok, each stage of the fragrance was a disappointment for me. I don’t smell the honey but it dose have a sweetness to it with a soapy medicine smell. It’s just to much going on for me. Glad I got a sample before I just bought into all the hype.

Revised Review

I reviewed this earlier and said I didn't really care for it but when I was doing laundry last week, I picked up a shirt that smelled wonderful and went digging back through my samples to find out what it was. It's this! So I'm totally changing my mind.

If you don't think you like this fragrance, put it on a shirt or sock and smell it again later. I would love to hug someone and get a whiff of this scent so I've been wearing it all week and love it now.

It's a sweet, light honey that smelled (at least on my first skin test) a little masculine cologne-y from the lavender causing me to push it aside. But now that I've smelled it blindly on clothes and had such a great reaction, I think it almost smells like a light grape scratch-n-sniff sticker -- a scent note we don't see explored much in fragrances.

It's going in my collection. What a funny way to fall in love with a fragrance.

Sample Test

I ordered 16 different fragrances based on YouTube reviews and all of them seem to be great picks. I look forward to experiencing more fragrances from Scent Split
