    Lavender opens the fragrance. Fresh with accents of camphor, honey and hay, it opens the scent with an aromatic quality. Omumbiri myrrh forms the heart. Uniquely rich with a warm balsamic note of amber, it infuses the fragrance with vibrant oriental sensuality. Tonka bean finishes the scent. It is a signature ingredient in the composition of oriental fragrances and is wonderfully warm with accents of almond, vanilla and aromatic tobacco, adding tangible richness to the fragrance.

    Style: Resin, oriental, woody.

    Myrrh and Tonka is supposed to be a fragrance of Lavender, Myrrh, Tonka Bean, Almond, and Vanilla. After applying it, my nose could only smell the sweet (yet gentle) creaminess of tonka and vanilla. I'm a woman "of a certain age", and this scent reminds me of a fragrance from the 1960s-1970s...can't remember if it was a guy or girl fragrance, but I remember smelling it at parties. It's driving me crazy that I can't remember which vintage perfume it was? That being said, I think this is certainly a unisex scent. Considering it is in Jo Malone's Cologne Intense line, it wasn't long lasting on my skin (yes, I moisturized with unscented lotion); it only lasted about 3 hours. It's very much a skin scent with very minimal to no sillage. The tonka and vanilla dried down at about 2 hours, and the last hour there was just a hint of myrrh. This myrrh is very subtle and not at all spicy. It's a warm, comforting, cocoon type fragrance that I think could be worn by both men or women. If it lasted longer than 2-3 hours, it "might" be worth a FB, but I definitely would recommend a sample if you like the stated notes and that warm, cozy feeling.
