Brand Parfums de Marly

Pegasus- the horse God, the heavenly stallion portrayed in Coustou's famed statue. A creature of such power, refinement and nobility that only a God himself would dare attempt to ride him. In this spirit, Parfums de Marly's Pegasus is, itself, fragrance nobility- a skillfully refined take on the fougere style featuring unexpected notes of almond and vanilla that give it unique lasting power and striking dignity.

Pegasus opens with the aforementioned almond note- lightly sweet, somewhat bitter, and warm, given juicy heft by a more traditionally fougere-like bergamot. The heart of the fragrance further expands on the almonds' sweet, marzipan-like depth, while an unlisted floral accord (lavender and jasmine?)exudes gentle, refined masculinity. In the base, vanilla is the clear star of the show, replacing a traditional fougere's mossiness with creamy warmth supplemented by amber notes, while a light, sharp sandalwood keeps everything airy enough to still earn the genre. To read the notes of Pegasus is to wonder how it earns a categorization as a men's fougere- to smell it, on the other hand, is to be so swept up in its sophistication and majesty that you've no choice but to understand.

Bergamot, heliotrope, spice, almond, amber, vanilla, sandalwood

Well made, solid base notes.

It gives you the feeling of stealing high end hotel towels. Clean, warm, and a little bit naughty.

It’s Pretty Nice , not a bad purchase

I originally came to get a small sample after smelling Armaf Craze which is supposedly the Clone version of Pegasus. But in my honest opinion they don’t smell alike i know alot of reviewers said it did, (just my opinion) Pegasus smells alot more sweeter and the smell definitely smells alot longer. Armaf smelled a bit more citric to me and the smell didn’t last that long. Ultimately im perfectly fine just buying a 6ml here at Split Scent and using it once in a while till i ran out.

Item arrived quickly and on time but the scent was not my style

Im a big fan of this house and after purchasing decants of Layton Exclusif and Herod I decided to try another sample from this house. Unfortunately this scent is not for me and though it doesnt smell too bad I cant see myself wearing it.

I knew I liked it but rather than pay a bunch for a bottle I get tired of, I would rather open a new present every morning and 10 ml samples last quite awhile until I am ready to experiment again. This is a nice bold scent that lasts very well and is masculine
