The releases from the house of Amouage over the past three years have had a uniting thread: uncomporomised richness and beauty. Their new series Memoir presents a new chapter in this narrative as conceived by Creative Director, Christopher Chong. Turning the industry norm of a dominant woman's fragrance on its head, Chong instead conceived the two Memoir fragrances from an inherently male point of view. Together, the Memoir fragrances offer a new interpretation of the "space" between man and woman, one that is almost impossible to resist.
Memoir Woman is a scent of shadows. A mystical Chypre that borrows the Absinth top-notes of Memoir Man and unites them with a dance of Pink Pepper and Cardamom. Dark Woods, Frankincense with White Blossoms, shimmering Jasmine and Rose provide the richly-beating heart notes while Labdanum, Leather, Musk and Oakmoss at the base provide a smoky, sultry conclusion to the fragrance. There's rarely been a new release that makes us swoon; this is one.
Absynth, cardamom, mandarin orange, pink pepper, wormwood, clove, incense, pepper, jasmine, rose, white flowers, musk, french labdanum, oak moss, styrax, leather
This smells of church incense and sexiness. I never knew that such a thing existed until I smelled this fragrance! I think this scent is incredibly seductive and intoxicating and I'd love to find a reason to wear it more often. Needless to say, I'm enjoying my sample very much!
