Inspired by frankincense, but given a typical Guerlain treatment, this sweet & bright musky oriental composition fuses aldehydes with neroli, moss, saffron, Persian rose, ambergris and musk to render incense new again. Encens Mythique D'Orient was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is Thierry Wasser.


Top notes: rose, aldehyde, saffron note.
Heart notes: pink pepper, vetiver, patchouli.
Base notes: forest floor notes, ambergris, frankincense.

Encens Mythique D'Orient

Beautiful Fragrance

Of all the fragrances I have tried (so far!) this one is my most favourite! So many layers and the fragrance lasts all day. I love Scent Split. They make it possible for me to affordably not only try gorgeous fragrances, but their business model allows me to choose larger decanter sizes without a) having to choose just one (full size bottle) or 2) going broke in the process!

Intoxicating, Exotic, Mesmerizing, Perfection.

This is probably hands down one of the best frangrances I’ve ever had the pleasure of smelling & wearing. I’m surprised by the negative reviews on YouTube about Encens Mythique - I cannot stop smelling myself. It’s exotic, floral, spicy, musky, delicious. If you’re sexy, exotic, mysterious - this one’s for you. Well done, Thierry Wasser & Guerlain!!!

Sweet ambery strong scent

It is a sweet ambery smell with an very well blended floral oceanic component. Over all a very sweet, but not sugary nor floral or fruity, well blended and very potent. Reminds me of Dior Gris Montaigne. But it is not identical.

Expensive old smelling scent.

Scent Split is a good service. Encens Mythique D'Orient hasn't caught up with the times.
