Olibanum incense, bergamot with a bitter edge, nothing sweet about it. Then the heart opens up and it's a completely different fragrance: tuberose at full volume, orange blossom, ylang-ylang doing that creamy thing ylang-ylang does. The tension between that sharp opening and the lush middle is what makes this interesting. It doesn't resolve neatly. The base, vanilla and ambergris, smooths things out without flattening them. You can still feel both sides.
