I did not need another ridiculously expensive scent to love.

But it looks like I got one - Apple Brandy on the Rocks is lovely. This strikes me as the perfect fall scent - apple top note, its sweetness toned down by creamy rather than cloying vanilla, made sophisticated by a boozy heart. The “apple liqueur/cognac” of the description is closest to nutshelling this scent for the majority of its lifecycle. I get no bergamot or pineapple from this at top and very little cedar or moss - dries down to the clean astringency of the ambroxan plus a slight, nondescript wood (think inhaling near the Lowe’s lumber aisle rather than forest undergrowth or gerbil cage, if that’s a worry). Longevity seems fair to middling; after 4 hrs I have to put nose to skin to catch a whiff. In short: I’m loving this. Thinking it’ll appeal to fans of TF Tobacco Vanille and Lost Cherry and V&R Spicebomb.
